I'm the publisher of The Sanford Herald. A native of Sanford, I did most of my growing up in Blue Rapids, Kansas, a small (pop. 1,298) town along the Big Blue River (OK, so it was brown) in the northeast part of the state. I graduated in 1985 from the University of Kansas' William Allen White School of Journalism and became publisher of The Herald in 1998. My wife, Lee Ann, and I have three children. This is cool — I always forget to call to cancel/hold my papers when I travel and they tend to pile up! Now I can remember to do it online when I do my mail hold on line…… AND – I really like the option of donating the papers to a local classroom!! I won’t bother to read them when I return, anyway! Nice touch!
