Nostalgic Song of the Day: Jackie Blue

Song: Jackie Blue
Artist: Ozark Mountain Daredevils
Year: 1976
Where I heard it: XM7

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils formed in Missouri in 1971 and were classified as a “Southern rock” band. They released a number of albums and had numerous lineup changes. “Jackie Blue” was a radio staple in the mid to late 1970s.

In the lyrics: You like your life in a free-form style | You’ll take an inch but you’d love a mile | There never seems to be quite enough | Floating around to fill your lovin’ cup
