AIKEN’S ANNOUNCEMENT | How to respond?
The latest issue of People magazine reportedly features Raleigh’s Clay Aiken on the cover, with the accompanying story including Aiken’s revleation that he’s gay, according to a story released by the Associated Press.
The former American Idol runner-up, who has a house, I understand, not far off Hwy. 751 on this side of Durham, has long been rumored to be gay. His admission comes on the heels of the revelation of another singer – contemporary Christian artist Ray Boltz – that he, too, is gay.
The Boltz story generated lots of discussion, but the Aiken announcement will undoubtedly create more. We’ll see how it plays out. In the meantime, for a very interesting “take” on how and what Ray Boltz said about his own admission, check out commentator and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary President Albert Mohler’s radio show here.
